The Jacksonville Jaguars signed veterans Stephen Hauschka and Aldrick Rosas on Monday after losing two kickers to injuries last week.
Hauschka will join the active roster and Rosas will join the practice squad, the team announced.
The Jaguars put Josh Lambo on injured reserve with a left hip injury last week and his replacement, rookie Brandon Wright, injured his groin during Thursday night's 31-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Jacksonville waived Wright with an injury designation.
Hauschka, 35, was cut by Buffalo in August after the Bills selected Tyler Bass in the sixth round of the 2020 draft.
Hauschka has made 85.7 percent of his field goals (264 of 308) in 12 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2008-09), Denver Broncos (2010), Seattle Seahawks (2011-16) and Bills (2017-19). He kicked two field goals in Seattle's 43-8 win against Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Rosas, 25, was released by the New York Giants in July following a hit-and-run arrest earlier this summer.
Rosas was also coming off a subpar 2019 campaign in which he made just 12 of 17 field-goal attempts, none from longer than 45 yards. He also missed four of his 39 extra-point attempts. Rosas made the Pro Bowl in 2018 after making 32 of 33 field goals and 31 of 32 PATs.
In other transactions Monday, the Jaguars promoted defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale from the practice squad, placed linebacker Leon Jacobs (knee) on the reserved/injured list and released defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan.
Jernigan was a second-round draft pick in 2014 by the Baltimore Ravens and played there three seasons, followed by three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He signed with the Jaguars in the offseason and appeared in all three games, posting one tackle and one quarterback hit. In 74 career games (51 starts), he has 17.5 sacks and 133 tackles.
Ekuale was signed as an undrafted free agent by Cleveland in 2018 and spent most of that season on the team's practice squad. In seven games for the Browns in 2019, he registered four tackles.
Jacobs tore the ACL in his right knee during the opening minutes of Thursday's 31-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The third-year pro has 66 tackles and two sacks in 29 games (12 starts) with the Jaguars.
