A two-member delegation of the Bol Media Group, led by its Chairperson Ms. Ayesha Shaikh, visited the head offices of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) in Baku, and met its Executive Director Mr. Yusif Abdullayev.
AZPROMO — established in 2003 by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy — focuses on attracting foreign investment and encouraging exports in non-oil sector. The Foundation organises a number of international events every year to develop Azerbaijan's non-oil sector, promote its products in foreign markets and support foreign companies planning investment there.
The BOL Group - Pakistan's largest media organisation — is focusing on expanding its footprints and reach in various parts of the world through joint ventures and content sharing agreements. The BOL Group's Chairperson's visit to Baku was aimed at building ties in this key Central Asian country, which enjoys special relations with Pakistan.
The BOL Media Group delegation, which visited AZPROMO headquarters on April 13th, in its meeting with Executive Director Abdullayev discussed the huge potential of introducing investment opportunities in Azerbaijan to Pakistani investors through its media platforms.
Ayesha Shaikh said that the BOL Group remains highly committed to building relations with Azerbaijani counterparts. She said being a forward-looking Group, which also has stakes in the Information Technology business, executing ideas and expanding business on fast track remains one of its core strengths.
"We are highly interested in making reciprocal investment in Azerbaijan and look forward to meeting potential investors and partners," she said.
Ms. Shaikh informed the AZPROMO's Executive director about Bol Group's new project, the 'Bol Icon' — the biggest Technology Park project in Pakistan's history. "We hope that the Bol Group manages to contribute to the Azerbaijan's economy by creating investment and employment opportunities."
