Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant will miss Monday night's game against the host Denver Broncos due to a concussion.
Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor said Saturday that Fant is still working through the concussion protocol.
Fant sustained the concussion during last Sunday's 48-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He didn't practice at all this week.
Fant caught 12 passes for 80 yards and one touchdown over the first three games.
The seven-year veteran is in his first season with the Bengals. He also played three seasons with the Broncos (2019-21) and Seattle Seahawks (2022-24) and has 312 receptions for 3,385 yards and 16 touchdowns in 98 games (85 starts).
Mike Gesicki figures to have a bigger role against the Broncos. He has just five catches for 38 yards. In 2024, He caught 65 passes for 665 yards and two scores.
'It hasn't been Mike's fault,' Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor said of Gesicki's low production. '... I'm not disappointed in Mike. It's just the way the games have gone.'
Also, rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart (ankle) will miss his second straight contest. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (hamstring) will return after a one-game absence.
